Creating the look you want is not always easy, looking demure and stunning in equal measure can be hard to achieve. Therefore we aim to guide you through the process, regularly creating something completely one-off where necessary. Mothers of the bride and groom have the choice of a huge range of colours and fabrics for their outfits such as silk duchess satin, silk taffeta, lace, tulle, chiffon and organza. Every dress is hand made in London with the patterns created by Suzanne herself, this ensures a perfect fit, and by using individually sourced fabrics and finishes, this will guarantee exclusivity.

Covering arms and shoulders can be achieved subtly by using delicate sheer fabrics such as lace and tulle. Detail such as soft ruching over a structured bodice is incredibly flattering as the ruching can draw attention to the waist that the corset has enhanced, together with a long or knee length skirt we can create the most flattering silhouette. Suzanne will always be present at the first fitting, she will spend a great deal of time perfecting the neckline and making sure the bodice is supportive yet comfortable at the same time.

The Mother of the bride outfits we create are made using the same process as the wedding dresses, therefore it is important to leave as much time as possible, especially if we are sourcing fabrics, as this alone can take a few months. We recommend 6 to 8 months where possible, but understand that this is not always the case. Recently we have also created a few soft crepe dresses that can be made in a standard size through a ‘made to order’ service. This way, if time is limited, a dress can be made up in just a few weeks, there is usually still some flexability with colours and fabrics, but there will only be a hem fitting included.

Mothers and Daughters love to come for their fittings and appointments together. If you want to make a day out of it, why not have lunch at one of the many restaurants or cafes on Beauchamp place, then go shopping for accessories such as hats from Milliner John Boyd, or jewellery from Coleman and Douglas or McKenna and co. next door and you will be all set for the big day!!
